With the imminent release of the final chapter of the new trilogy of Star Wars, The rise of Skywalker, also the Disney theme parks are getting ready to welcome visitors with many new features inspired by the movie.
Disney has announced on Wednesday 23 October, Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort will host the version updated and enriched with the attractions Star Tours — The Adventure Continues– including new environments inspired by the film in theaters in December.
The new parks will be unveiled on the 20th December, in conjunction with the debut of Episode IX in cinema-going in the USA (we arrive a little before, the 18). Among the new destinations of Star Tours to be discovered on board the Starspeeder, there will be theocean of the moon Kef Bir, who appears briefly in the trailer released two days ago.
Already in the past, Disney had partnered with Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic to update these simulators, which were inserted in the various parks between 1987 and 1992. After a long period of “restructuring”, each attraction was reopened between 2011 and 2017, with the name Star Tours — The Adventure Continues, and included star travel destinations, such as Jakku, Crait and Batuu.
Recently, Disneyland and Disney World have also opened the doors of the thematic areas, Star Wars: Galaxy”s Edge, that allow fans of really immerse in the universe of the film between the attractions, shops, and theme restaurants.
